Snow and Graham

Public service announcement for all paper lovers:

Fab is selling Snow & Graham paper today.

all images from Fab.com

I told myself I wouldn't buy any more stationery/misc paper products until I used up most of what is in my stash, but I actually need coasters for my desk at work, so I'm slowly talking myself into it... Plus I don't actually have any Snow & Graham paper at home.  (Can you tell I'm an online shopping/paper addict?)

Washi Tape

As some of you may remember from my post on paint chips, I can go sort of overboard from time to time.

Well, it's happened again.  I decided I needed more washi tape.  See how little I had before??
Well, it's all relative.

So, I decided to buy some more.

MoMA exclusive washi tape:

And then some tape from Uguisu:

So small in comparison!

PS - I confess to posting this today mostly because it's been a loooong day at work (and I can't go home yet!) and tomorrow will be yet another long day (we are getting audited...).  So feel free to leave me nice comments to cheer me up!  (And forgive me for the blatant pandering.)

Pantone Box {Fab}

Recently I discovered Fab through fellow blogger Alycia of The Curious Pug.

They have a bunch of different stuff, and great prices.  I'm particularly fond of their vintage furniture and typewriters!

My first order was this turquoise Pantone box:

I thought it was going to be small (maybe the size of a graphing calculator at most), but look at how big it is!

(with a pen for size comparison)

New Stamps

Lovely new stamps:

I ordered these online because my local post office didn't carry most of them.

The one thing that really bugs me about ordering stamps online is the amount of wasted packaging.

Plastic:

Cardboard:

Fortunately the plastic can be recycled, though I would rather not use the plastic at all.

The cardboard I'm going to use to make a few postcards and then I suppose I'll recycle the rest.

I understand that they want to protect the stamps during transit, but why can't multiple stamps go in one thing of packaging?  I ordered several identical sheets and they were each packaged separately.

In general I love shopping online - reading reviews before I buy something, taking as much time as I need to make a decision about whether or not to get something.  But, everything seems to be packaged in plastic!

Recycled Paper Pencils

Happy Friday!

I stumbled on these pencils from Poketo on the blog of paper and things.

They have really neat paper on them...

At home I have baskets made out of old newspaper.  It's fun to wonder where the paper went in its former life.

They also sell pencils made of reclaimed branches.  I want to learn how to make these!  Cool, right?

More New Stationery

My recent post about buying stationery was fairly popular, so I figured I would share with you more stationery that I got!

This order came from Smock.  Here is their display at the National Stationery Show.  (Photo by Kristen Magee at Paper Crave.)

Notebooks!

"use these to do good."
Other purchases:

more cute cards from smock.

mini notecards with giraffes!

I live in Pennsylvania where "fracking" (hydraulic fracturing) in the Marcellus Shale is a big issue, so these cards caught my eye.

Also part of Smock's Change the World series are these bee-friendly cards.

 They come with sunflower seeds!!

"XO, Pesticide Action Network & Smock."

If you're interested in "eco-friendly" penpalling I encourage you to check out Smock's website.

Previous purchases from Smock include:

Some of my pen pals will recognize the paper!

Have a great weekend everyone!

New Stationery

I recently discovered some of the great stationery (new and vintage) for sale on Etsy and may have gone overboard.

First up is Paper Ink Press, which is currently having a great sale.  I ordered one of the letterpress grab bags and this is what I got:
grab bag cards
great colors!

Needless to say, I just went back to order two more!

Also from that shop was these cute cards with foxes on them:

Next is some lovely vintage stationery from Pratt and Austin, purchased from The Barn Owl's Collectibles.

Looking through my closet a few months ago I found some great Pratt and Austin stationery that was given to me when I was younger.  I searched online but can't find any new stuff (hence ordering the vintage set I found on Etsy).  Did they go out of business??

And last but not least, a few goodies from Creative Moxie Studio.  Fun and reasonably priced!

This reminds me that I don't actually know the birthdays of many of my pen pals.  If you're reading this, let me know in your next letter!!

I hope you're as excited to receive these beauties as I am to send them!
